The Hyat Regency Chicago Grand Ballroom, site of the 2012 Hugo Awards A film clip was shown by the Loncon 3, which had recently been awarded the right to host the 2014 Worldcon in London, UK. Toastmaster John Scalzi takes the stage at the beginning of the Ceremony. Jim C. Hines hi fives the Toastmaster after winning for Best Fan Writer Neil Gaiman, Writer of the Dr. Who episode The Doctor's Wife, receives the award for Best Dramatic Presentation, Short Form. George R.R. Martin, author of A Game of Thrones, accepts the award fro Best Dramatic Presentation, Long Form, given to HBO's Game of Thrones, Season One.
